Honduras is gelegen in het hart van Midden-Amerika en een fantastische plek voor jullie lustrumreis. Wat een robuuste parel! We zijn er met dikke 4×4 wagens op onderzoek uit geweest, echt heel gruwelijk! Lustrumreizen naar Honduras zijn namelijk (nog) niet zo bekend onder het grote publiek, het toerisme is nog redelijk klein in Honduras maar dat gaat in de toekomst zeker groeien.

Honduras wordt begrensd door Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, de Stille Oceaan en de Caribische Zee. De eilanden van Honduras zijn een van de belangrijkste trekpleisters van het land, in het bijzonder Roatán & Utila. Dit populaire due vormt samen met een handvol kleinere eilandjes de Bay Islands en grenzen aan de zuidelijke einde van de Meso-Amerikaanse Barrier Reef, het grootste rif in het noordelijk halfrond. Een ongerepte oase van levendige koraal, gigantische sponzen en honderden vissoorten. Dit gebied is een magneet voor duikers, snorkelaars, vissers en zeelieden, evenals landrotten op zoek naar zon, zee en strand. Op Utila kan je betaalbaar je PADI halen en bovendien heerlijk feesten tot in de late uurtjes.

Weer terug op het vasteland van Honduras, waar meer dan drie kwart van het land ruig en bergachtig gebied is, perfect voor outdoor avontuur. Pico Bonito National Park, gelegen in de buurt van de Caribische kust van de stad La Ceiba, is de thuisbasis voor wilde jungle avonturen en woeste rivieren. Het grootste meer van Honduras, Yojoa, is omgeven door nevelwouden, thermale bronnen, Lencan ruïnes, en honderden soorten tropische vogels. In de buurt van Yojoa ligt de immense waterval Pulhapanzak, echt een hele dikke waterval waar je een mooie tour kan doen die onder de waterval doorgaat. Natuurlijk is er ook nog de vallei van Copán, een wereldberoemde archeologische plaats van de Maya’s in Honduras. Hier kun je met je club zwerven over oude pleinen, tempels beklimmen en de prachtige monumenten bewonderen, die het verhaal vertellen van de eens zo grote Maya heersers van Copán. We had a fantastic trip through Costa Rica and Nicaragua with our year club. Katia and Filemon guided us throughout the trip. Everything was taken care of down to the last detail! They always responded to messages immediately and looked for a solution. Furthermore, all transportation was always on time, all the guides were great, and the balance of activities was very well-balanced. All in all, we had a fantastic trip, and we would highly recommend Lustrum Fiesta!

We had a wonderful lustrum trip to Nicaragua with Lustrumfiesta! We had nice contact with Carien in advance to make a plan for our trip, which activities do we want/not want? How much time do we want to chill? How and where do we want to spend the night? We thought about everything and this resulted in a fantastic anniversary trip. Lustrumfiesta then arranged everything for us! From volcano boarding and an overnight hike to chilling all afternoon on a private catamaran with an open bar and much more! When the plan was made and the trip came closer, we received two very nice local contacts, Katia and Filemon! They ensured that everything went super smoothly, there was always a taxi ready, were easily accessible and helped us where necessary! Thanks again to Carien, Filemon and Katia for everything! Again in 5 years! 😉

In September we (two friends) traveled through Peru. Lustrum Fiesta organized a great trip for us. Everything was perfectly arranged down to the last detail. From the start, the intake interview, the planning, the various video calls and the contact during the trip was well organized. We had a less good experience at a hotel, which was not due to LF, but they arranged it very quickly and well for us. The locals they work with are all nice and helpful and the LF employees themselves are also very friendly, helpful and professional. We are very pleased with this travel organization and can highly recommend them. This was our first experience with LF and certainly won't be our last. Thank you Lustrum Fiesta for a memorable holiday!

Had an amazing 3-week trip through Nicaragua thanks to Lustrumfiesta! They really know what they are doing and helped us plan the perfect trip filled with great activities. Transport was always on time and very comfortable. During the trip, Sara and Marcela were always available to provide us with the latest updates or help us with any questions or last-minute requests, which was highly appreciated! Would definitely recommend, also for smaller groups (we were with 4).

We enjoyed ten amazing days in Costa Rica and Nicaragua with a total of five guests. It was a wonderful experience. The activities were incredibly enjoyable, including rafting, mountain climbing, relaxing on a private island, and a day of scootering. The transportation arrangements between locations were excellent, and the communication with the organization via WhatsApp was outstanding. If there's one area for improvement, it would be to perhaps provide clearer pictures of the accommodations.

Our trip was a beautiful rollercoaster! We started this trip in Costa Rica, feeling the thrill of rafting. Then we arrived in Nicaragua, specifically in the colonial city of Granada where we celebrated a friends’ birthday and learned new salsa steps, we had some quality time to ourselves on a private island, and we traveled to the other colonial city León where we tasted the flavor of Nicaraguan rum during the rum tasting activity. Then, we were able to feel the adrenaline of sandboarding on an active volcano like Cerro Negro and enjoy a night camping in the El Hoyo Volcano (with stunning views). We also made the walk to Asososca Lake and after this long experience, we were able to enjoy a delicious lobster dinner on the beach. We toured the island of Ometepe on scooters, had fun at the popular party of Sunday Funday, and enjoyed a relaxing time in a beautiful private villa. Definitely, we had an amazing time! Special thanks to Katia and Filémon, kind and helpful staff 🙂
